grow.

This weekend I planted Thai basil, chamomile (which blooms into pretty flowers too), cilantro and dill seeds in cans and nifty plantable pots which i'll transplant into my garden come June. My garden puts a big smile on my face and really, is there anything better than picking fresh ingredients right from your own backyard?

PS: Shiraz was a fantastic supervisor :)

Happy new week!

  1. I hate to say it again...cuz I say it every time, but what a great picture of Shiraz.

Yeah, don't you love how the felines always have to supervise. Mine were all over a necklace I was making this weekend.

Hope your week started out great!

  2. Great picks for herbs! Do you have a large garden? This time of year is full of optimism, anticipating a garden is dreamy. Do you pop your little containers right into the ground?

  3. I've been thinking of planting some seeds and stuff too lately but I think I'm in the wrong time of year! I'm not much of a gardener!

Shiraz, what a great supervisor. Cats are so nosy.

  14. oh Tash, you have such nurturing hands. i'd bet my bottom dollar you give the best massages ever!

these photos are a sigh double sigh, seeing the gardens potential has me dreaming of one day just having a small patio to set pots out on. my Mom introduced me to gardening young, i actually used to nibble on worms....ewwww, i know right? weird kid was i! but they were the best, most relaxing days. it's such a healer and soother for any woes.

seeing these images reminds me of those days and it's been a pleasure, thanks for the view into your dirt digs.

Shiraz is superwonduhficitlyamazing and possibly the best overseer ever. his look to me says "soooo momma, who's the cutie in the grass skirt, she looks very inviting!"

oh i jest, but he does seem to love the activity a bunch. i suppose being near you any time of day are his happiest moments. look how long his paw pads are, almost like mini hands. i love him forever! ♥

    * thank you so much for your message on the post i did about Glenn, they were heartwarming to read. you're so wonderful! *
