18 weeks.

I'll always remember week 18 for two reasons: my belly is officially starting to pop and i'm feeling the baby move now, tiny flutters in my belly! Hello baby! I can't make out the movements but it makes me so happy to think that there are stretches, yawns and even smiles happening inside me right now. I'm touching my stomach more and incredibly proud to show off this blooming belly of mine. J touches my belly too which I find is just the sweetest. And this weekend the lady at the dry cleaners even went for a touch and in her beautiful thick Lebanese accent she said "boy, I think boy". I'll always remember her too, she was so genuine and confident in her prediction.

There have been loads of predictions lately, the ladies at Tim Hortons say it's a girl, some friends and co-workers say boy, others say girl. My dad is absolutely positive it's a girl. He says that since he had two girls and J had two girls (Bianca and Alicia), well then i'm obviously having a girl too ;) But we only have a few more weeks until we find out, or "cheat" as my doctor says. We figure this pregnancy has been the absolute biggest and best surprise ever, so why not cheat a little now right?

  3. Such lovely photos, Natasha. Isn't it funny how everyone just knows exactly what you're having?! I guess they've got a 50% chance though.

I'm so bad at guessing but I'm going to go with the Lebanese woman :)

  7. It's the sweetest thing when your partner touches your belly. I used to love that.

My dad was adamant I was having a girl, too - for mostly the same reasons! Everyone else (myself included) guessed boy. But my daddy-o was right. maybe yours is, too?

  8. oh my gosh, tears and rim fulls of them! i finally struck up the courage to watch Oprah's last show yesterday; i'd put it off b/c i love her so and was sciiiired to say goodbye, and the drops spilled. that was b/c i knew i'd never see her that way again. right now though i feel proud to "know" you, blessed to be a far away witness to this miracle you & J have going on and swelling with cheers inside that you now feel the movement too!!! we get to see you in a different way but the thing is it's enhanced you, fine tuned you and salved so much previous pain.

i love your Dad's theorizing ways, he is so rad and it makes sense. J may have another lucky-lady to bestow his fathering towards. "cheat" away girl, i wouldn't be able to wait to find out either. ♥
